When I was 12 or so, making necklaces with paperclips and coloured tape was a real hype.   :orly:

Half of the kids in class were decorated with them.

Most chemicals are legal to buy without a permit in Sweden but not to mix. Chlorates and perchlorates were licensed in 1942 but were free again in 1988, which is rather unusual in Sweden. It's pretty rare in our country that restrictions or bans are abolished once they are implemented.

In December 1944 Belgium was formally annexed by the Third Reich as the Reichsgaue Flandern and Wallonien. At that time almost all of Begium was already lost.

Yes, pretty high. About 50% higher than in the US. Despite the low percentage of gun owners about one Swede daily shoots himself. Other methods that are popular are ODs, hanging oneself, cutting the wrists or jumping in front of trains.

It is high, but not as high as in Belgium or Finland. Lithuania was on the top of the wikipedia list, based on WHO statistics

In Belgium the taboo on depression seems to be part of the reason that the suicide rate is that high.

In Sweden it's almost unusual that you are not somewhat depressed. I think about 25% of the Swedes have at one time or another medicated with anti-depressants.
