Solstice celebration was here before haikus, of course, if you mean in the western world. Solstice it self has been here for at least 5 billion years.  :smarty:

According to the Poor Mans James Bond book the discoverer of NitroCellulose T.J. Pelouze was sitting at home in the kitchen mixing sulfuric and nitric acids and spilled them on the table. He quickly wiped up the mess with the table cloth and rinsed it out thoroughly and set it on top of the stove to dry so his wife wouldn't find out, but the heat set it off and blew up the kitchen. I have not been able to find independent verification of this and Kurt Saxon has been known to be FOS at times.

I think most states in this union are too lax in their licensing. Not only personal licenses, but the actual roadworthiness of peoples'  cars should be more strict.


Every single fucking day, I see someone driving who should have had to prove-up before taking the fucking wheel!!  Driving is NOT a right. It is a hard-earned privilege to be maintained at personal expense!!
