My Surround Sound Reciever is a Sony STR-K660P and it goes up to 70 which is meant to be in correlation to "Total System Power: 70w X 6"

I have no idea if that is a good way to represent it or not but meh, you turn the dial, it gets louder, can't go wrong there.

Dolby processors have decimal volume adjustment increments. Volume 7.0 is usually calibrated at 85 dBA.

Even though my Denon is considered a top grade unit, with incredibly fast response and low distortion, it is still a consumer grade receiver.

The amplifiers I use for my bi-amped LFE channel are professional grade, though, and are calibrated in negative numbered decibels. The setting of "Zero"  on the volume control means that the input sensitivity is adjusted to reach full power with an input voltage of 0.775 volts (reference to 0dBm). Obviously, the complexity of my LFE channel set up makes the writing on the dials meaningless. I use a pink noise analyser, sometimes.

0.775 Volts is a lot. Dolby processors are still calibrated at less than half of that amplitude (300mV).

I always use an RTA when setting up a sound system, these days. I move the mic around a lot, too, just to see the acoustics. But simply listening can often give better results.

I wish I had a multiplexer. And a better mic.

Is that the size of people's openings into their attics?

I had a weird dream that I was separated from my daughter in a mall.

She had gone through an open window that locked closed in front of me before I could go through.

I could not open it.

I could not break it since it was some sort of special thick green glass.

Frantic to find a way to reach her, I went into the next room and the heavy steel door locked shut behind me.

The only way out of this room that I could find was a tunnel through the wall out into the rest of the mall, but my end of the tunnel wasn't even quite big enough to even fit my head through.

I have this thing I like to do in the shower while i'm getting ready in the morning. I like to squat like i'm gonna pounce, get a really serious look on my face, and hum the terminator theme. Works real good to get me motivated, unless the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg.
