Salt marsh mosquitoes are very active even during the day and I have the pleasure of having a salt marsh near my house

I know all about Salt Marsh Mosquito's from my days living near the NH coast in my college days.  Vicious and fast, I counted 10+ once that landed and drilled in on my bare legs and sucked blood in what seemed like an instant.  I had been biking and had stopped at a shady wooded spot for a rest.  I didn't stay there long, my legs looked like I had waded thru a slaughterhouse after I went into a frenzy of slapping and smooshing.

The only thing that can compare to that is the blackfly season in June in Northern Maine.  Baxter State Park specifically!  When your scratching numerous blood clots out of your scalp after a hike and while hiking you look like you've been sprinkled with living black pepper bits.  It's bad!

They are driving me crazy.

We bought a "new" car today.  Actually a 2007 Toyota Corolla that was used in a rental agency, 30,000.  My wee beastie was a 1998 Ford Escort SE with 191,000 miles on it and it was starting to feel it too.  Plus we got an upgrade in gas mileage Escort was 19/25 (town/highway mileage)  The Corolla gets 30/35.

I am jealous of that mileage I only get 8-9 around town and 13 on the highway.  So I don't drive much unless I have to

I fell asleep during a program about supervolcanoes, and missed half the show. :-[  Now I have to wait and see if it's repeated on the History Channel another time!

I see stuff like that available to download on P2P all the time. Heaps of History Channel stuff.

I have a bifid uvula.

 :o

Does it cause you to have any problems?

Today, the uvula is one of many body parts that people pierce. However, uvula piercings are very dangerous compared to other forms of body piercing, as the risks involved include swelling, throat edema, choking, and uvular infection.

Wow... pierced uvulas!  I must have had a really bad snoring fit one night due to alcohol and a crappy inflatable mattress.  My uvula swelled up to twice it's normal size, it was uncomfortable as hell.  I can't imagine having a piercing in it.
