The Proto-Germanic verb tawojan became tun in German and do in English. In Swedish it is extinct, although it exists as tæja in Icelandic. Swedish has the noun dåd=deed, though.

A friend of mine was born a Serb, grew up in Tanzania and South Africa, moved to New Zealand and married an American, finally settling in Washington state. She is a writer, loves to travel, and sometimes produces articles for travel mags in addition to writing novels.

The ship's name was Nagelfar. Still today, 1000 years later, there is a Swedish verb nagelfara, meaning "examine throroughly".

I don't think they'll get too many votes here.  Besides alcohol, they'd like to ban drugs, cigarettes, commercial vice, and pornography.  Makes Romney seem like quite the Libertarian.

Saw on the internet, but didn't read the article.  A baby was born weighing 8 lbs, 9 ounces on 10/11/12 at 13:14.
