I went to the local pakishop a bit ago, luck enough to arrive in the nick of time, and duck under the shutters as they were going down. Stocked up on coke, got some electrolyte drinks, a pack of cigars, 3 bags on bonfire toffee. I'd forgotten how much I love treacle toffee.

Currently munching on a few long jelly snakes.

The Swedish author Vilhelm Moberg's novels often take place in the county of Kronoberg in Småland, where he was born and grew up. However, due to the greater commune reform in the 1970's the 340 old year county border was moved, so that his birthplace is now in Kalmar county instead  :facepalm2:

The oldest known Germanic settlements are current Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schleswig-Holstein, Denmark, Skåne, Halland, Bohuslän, Östfold and Vestfold. Maybe Germanic tribes lived here 3500 years ago already.

"Germanic" simply means "related".
