being the mother of ask anything threads, how do you feel about being # 3 behind peter and fluor?
I'm actually not the first one to make an "ask anything" thread. On WP, someone named stlf started it all. Then others followed him, and out of curiosity I decided to make my own. Mine just happened to be the most successful over there...probably because I was obsessed with WP and quick to answer any questions. Many of the others abandoned (or maybe forgot about?) their ask anything threads.
In a way I don't mind being behind Peter and fluorescent. When I first joined here, I knew there were at least a few people who didn't like me and that even though some considered me to be one of the "in" crowd on WP, there was a different "in" crowd here for those who choose to look at it that way. Peter appears to be one of the more popular members here due to his humor and ability to shock people. I think fluorescent's is long because he goes on tangents a lot...he'll also post again if he wants to add something to a previous post, rather than editing. He only seems to edit if he's fixing a mistake or trying to make his post more clear. I think people are also trying to figure him out (which I try to do too) and get him to elaborate when they don't understand what he means, which means more posts in his thread. I know he also has the need for attention even more so than I do, which is another reason why I don't mind him being ahead of me. On the other hand, the attention whore in me resents it a little...my thread actually was almost all the way at the bottom last time I checked. Considering all these obstacles, I think #3 is pretty good...though I think Nomaken (and maybe others?) might be tied with me, and still others are catching up.
