Yes. Take Flagg, for example. He is/was a member here, and someone mentioned that he's 16. I did some research and found his thread on WP where he introduced himself, where he said he was indeed 16. I banned him until his 18th birthday (well, actually I banned him two years on from the date of the WP post).
Some time ago, we had a 12-yo register. She's also banned until her 18th birthday.
That's about the only rule we have, and one we probably must have, considering the site's adult orientation. Our host doesn't seem to mind the nudes but I suspect that some authorities in various countries might, without that explicit 18-yo rule.
Yes, Eclair's right. Please don't. I really think that minors have no business here. I wouldn't want a minor to read the board, especially one with an ASD dx.
Obviously, that is what a site admin has to say.
I do wonder about my own duty to report (not that
the issue came up outside of Flagg) if I see such a case.
Also, is there anything that we can (and should) be doing
to prevent minors from
browsing the site? I've seen indications
over at WP that this indeed happens.
