Alex is now saying he will be unbanning some people and claiming that he didn't approve of their banning in the first place:

Bans are generally not used for anything other than spam and serious abuse. In the recent past, a couple of members were banned for bad language after an argument with a moderator. I did not approve of these bans. Other people also felt the same way as me.

I am unbanning said individuals and sending them a message reflecting this. I have talked to the moderator behind these bans and he has agreed to no longer ban any members without my approval. This moderator mistakenly believed that he was authorized to ban those people. If any mod does purposely violate the trust of the members in the future, they will no longer be moderating.

Unfortunately, some members reacted belligerently to this mod's actions by spamming and attacking WrongPlanet. If those members had just appealed to me, this problem could have been resolved quickly and they wouldn't have shot themselves in the foot by seriously violating the trust of the WrongPlanet community.

Whether that will have any affect on the members who post here I don't know.

Look lets get over this idea that ALex really cares about the forum any more.  It's obvious that wp is just another vehicle in his endless self promotion to his goal of being rich and famous.  Yeah, RIGHT, Alex may be affluent, but his fame is what Andy Warhol predicted, 15 minutes, no more nor less.  Without wp, Alex is just another warm body on the sidelines of fame awaiting his one and only shot at the big time.  So unless he gets male boob enhancement and becomes the next "action hero" star.  Alex is headed  for oblivion faster than the shit I just flushed down the toilet an hour ago.  ANd from what I'v seen of his looks, he MIGHT, just MIGHT have a shot at something on the COMEDY channel.
