Chicks do get treated differently than guys by most men.   That can be negative treatment or positive, depending on the guy's feelings towards women.   That should be obvious though.   Some people can treat women like "just one of the guys" and some girls basically force themselves into that role.   Saying that people can either be receiving preferential treatment or discriminated against someone is really easy, if the person doing the treating is of the opposite sex.   Preferential treatment is reserved for women deemed most attractive.  They get all the doors held open for them, guys buy them drinks, let them into the lane during heavy traffic, and other things they wouldn't do for a guy.
