Can you hear the buzzing in the flourescent lights all the time?

(gleened from another thread and since you brought it up)

How about you? And can you hear the "buzzing" in an incandescent bulb? Does the alternating intensity of the light emitted by the bulb distract you?

Also, can you see the two peaks in the visual spectrum that typical flourescent lights produce, instead of the "balanced spectrum", which the sun emits.
I do fun things with sounds in my head, but visuals are more difficult and green shadows nauseate me. I can tolerate the sounds of almost anything.

What about you?
Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

Nope

Are you talking about the lines running through them? sometimes

I can't stand every sound in the world I hear.

No.
I am talking about the color of the light they emit. The sun emits a wide spectrum of light with a somewhat balanced proportion of each color (not really, though) which our eyes, supposedly, interpret as white light. Flourescent lighting has a most disturbing color to me, unless it is specifically designed to emulate sunlight or "summer" light. That is the only problem I have with flourescent lighting. I can handle the noise, but the color is very distracting.

You are lucky not to see the light from an incandescent light flicker at the frequency of the wall current, which is different in the USA, compared to some European countries. All of the lights in my house are directional (except for one my wife uses to read) and point at either the wall or the ceiling and the light is diffused and softened by bouncing it instead of using it directly into the room. That helps a lot.

I don't know then. I probably don't see it then or I would know what you're talking about then. I only seen the flicker when they get real bad, one of them is annoying at work in one of the linen closet's. It goes on and off and some others that have gone out, I seen a faint glow in them in the storage room. I notice they get brighter though after they turn on.

I hate my cat.   Haha Just kidding. I got it from msn when I was picking a nickname but Calico was already taken so it left four choices for me to pick from or type in another name so I picked LikedCalico because it diddn't have any numbers at the end.

Do you dislike numbers in general,
or just at the end of names?

I don't dislike numbers, none of them appealed to me. I don't really like them at end of names unless the numbers fit.

Were there any school subjects that you liked?
If so, what were they?

I loved Spanish, art, PE when I was in elementary school, and Drama when I was in it. I also loved a class when I was in 7th grade and it was called exploratory.

It's like show and tell. Kids would bring their items in or their pets and tell about them or bring in their family pictures. I loved that class because kids always had something interesting to say. Then after a month we have a quiz.
