Its Kakuro puzzle is lousy though, i much prefer the Guardian for puzzles. Even if half the paper is loony left tripe from Trevor and Polly.

Not the articles that show up in my GS exams, always taken from either Trevor or Polly to evaluate. (i wonder if any of my howlers on him will make the examiners report) As for the rest of the paper, i glance through it, but i dont normally read many articles in depth.

I am not a total communist, i wouldnt define myself on the political spectrum in a left-right manner, some of my views fit the centre, and others both wings. As for whats left wing, some of the claptrap that goes with it (such as the lark about nuclear power) means I could postion myself solely there.

I have a good idea, and some of the stuff that is in left wing doctorine, is just bollocks and totally unscientific.  Nuclear power being an example of this. Left-Right battles was last century, politics is trying to move on.

I do have a good enough understanding of nuclear power to know the left is totally wrong on that one. Unless you have some brilliant arguement against it that I am not aware of.

my main argument these days is that most arguments are completely moot - we should never have got into a position where they're needed, and wouldn't have, if people had listened and acted upon what we were saying about the indiscriminate use of fossil fuels, 30 years ago.

But we are there, and true people should have listened. We are where we are, and nuclear power is the best way forward, at least for a large chunk of our power. Lots of the so called green methods are not as green as people like to make out, and they are certainly not reliable. The green groups seem to have an idealistic view of what is actually possible.
