i am not making a judgement about people that don't work.  it is everybodies choicce, especially when they have the option of doing nothing and being taken care of by the state....being relegated to second class citizenship.  will you ever evolve (go forward) in life?

Personally, I don't feel that the low-end jobs that I was capable of getting
were helping me forward at all. Yeah, lazing on my ass wasn't either,
but it did give me the opportunity to begin working on some projects
that did. I doubt that I would have bothered; doubt that I'd be in
grad school - if I had stuck to one of these positions which you
seem to so strongly advocate.

i don't believe that there is any need for low end jobs.

after survival i believe in tribe mentality.

workers should unite (a union would be a novel concept) and demand jobs with livable wages and dignity.

As far as I see it, you're pushing this whole anti-entitlement
thing again, and I just can't see where that kind of job
can possibly give someone great fulfillment. If new 'jobs'
were created, such as artist (without needing to sell their
product) or student, yeah sure. But that doesn't seem to
be what you're advocating.

i believe in the basic human instinct of survival....sink or swim.  if you weren't getting the freebies then you would be forced to make a choice.  i think that you would survive, and possibly excel.

I hope so, though I can't say for sure that I will, for the moment. By, the way, all people in this country are "second class citizens" to the politician scum and those with power, regardless if they work or not. You have nothing to say as an "ordinary" citizen in this "democratic" country.

They did in Sweden more than 100 years ago, but somewhere it all went wrong.

The largest Swedish union confederation is Landsorganisationen, or LO. The LO has almost two million members, which is more than a fifth of Sweden's population.

I'm trying. And no, I'm not trying to derail anything. I just don't see why making
someone who is unsuitable for menial tasks do them is at all reasonable. Maybe
there's some unstated grand plan here, where every person is assigned their
lot by the state, but I'm not going to guess at that unless you say it.
