i always try the gentle approach first.

but time has taught me that machismo is all they understand....and a few choice curse words.  so i tend to jump right to the domination part.  it seems to work, until i meet one that thinks he is a badass.  unfortunately for him, he has to learn the hard way.

Of course not, but machismo is all some of these people have going for themselves, along with their pride, even if they are both misplaced. It's a start, at least. Some means to communicate.

How about the ones who you have shown your dominance to, without insulting their pride? Have they become loyal or were they backstabbers?

I find that the ones who are actually out there trying to get work are miles better to deal with than the ones who backstab and lie to get by, even if learning the language is a low priority to them.

another rule of thumb that i learned fairly quickly is that the first and second thing out of their mouth is generally a lie.


i can tell you that some of the ones that i have butted heads with in the past are now actually some of my favorite outside truck-drivers today.
it seems that once they learn that i am not a game they cannot win and they get with MY program, they learn that it is much better for everybody if they just cooperate with me.  seriously, i am a pretty smart dude, i pay attention, and i am one of the best at what i do.

unfortunately, the turnover rate for their jobs is about 6 months.  so it is a constant battle for me.  having to be a bad mother fucker and teach them; this is where i work, they are just visitors.  and they should respect it as if they are a guest in my house.

you would apply extra work ethic into a forced ass wiping
and the ass you wiped would stay well wiped for longer
after you had really given it your best effort.
