Firefox>tools>adblock or just right click the image and the option appears in the menu. I don't know how Internet Explorer works or if the capability is built-in. I really like Firefox.

I don't thiink it's built-in on firefox. You probably have one of the souped up versions.

I don't really mind the picture, moving avies are much worse (:roll:) but
I don't really like my housemate/office mates thinking that I'm just wasting
my time looking at porn (rather than wasting my time being a spammer).

Nah, I don't even have the latest version. I don't remember having to add any plug-ins either, except one to re-load images. I am not the expert, though. I can tell you that Odeon knows much more about any of this stuff and seems to be quite familiar with this browser. He is also very helpful. He is the one to ask!
