We have a member (around 35 years old) called Giles Harvey who "had to spend 3 days in bed on my back and miss work"  because of the stress and depression people disagreeing with him caused him.   So now, on AV noone is allowed to disagree with him.  He starts threads about politics, but all threads that don't say "Yes very good point I agree"  are deleted so he doesn't see them.  And he is a professional who gives speeches about Autism.

I must admit, I know barely anything about Aspie Village.

I was a moderator on a different forum, I can’t even remember what its name was now. Someone had put his photos on the forum and for some reason I was unable to delete them, and he accused me of lying and threatened me. I made suggestions such as asking the OP to remove them. I mean, I understand about photos and why he didn’t want his on there, but it was the way he went about it. He even put the name of my town on AV to spite me, and I remember AV wouldn’t remove it, again likely just to spite me. Psych, I think his name was, stood up for me at the time.

Silly old forum arguments. It seems so pathetic and a waste of time now.

AV was exceptionally boring the last time I visited, you’re not missing much. The meetups in the early days weren’t bad though. I guess 2007 counts as the early days.

Theres this guy in the states that is the same way... only that he is a devout religious "meh" who is actually kind of a pervert who was ratted out by a Canadian User (A self-proclaimed Hafu who looks at himself being a hikikomori) back on AFF for being "a burden on the community". It took me years to realize that he was talking about the religious meh, a guy who self-loathes himself, and neurodiversity because he can't get attention for his music, or a suitable "companion".

He hates anything to do within the community, because the community knows of him being a creep. -_-

So yes even on my side of the pond, we have our fair share of "undesirables".

In the UK I hear from people every now and then that America tends to have more weirdos and more wacky weirdos, including the religious nuts. Not sure how much of that is a generalization, I think in terms of religious nuts a lot of that is true. I would otherwise agree you lot are a bit louder, less miserable and closed off than the English.
