I would like to know about your interest in politics.

Not too much recently, but I was always intrigued by
the machinations which went on. Participated in a number
of 'mock' assemblies, which ran county wide 'fake' governments.
Also was involved in debates.

Never had the kind of popularity to run for school
positions, but honestly, there wasn't the kind of
deal cutting going on there, nor decisions that I
was interested in.

Participated heavily in certain college issues, however,
and went about forcing money to be moved into the
correct places (in my view )

Studied US history enough to have a pretty good understanding
of the processes. Much less of English, French Revolutionary, Weimer,
Roman, and Soviet political processes, though not enough to really argue the
law from that basis. Would like to look at some other forms more carefully,
such as medieval Polish, and the later Byzantine senate, as well as the
politics of the Italian city states.

You like all this chaos don't you? I understand some of your points as you understood mine in the crime thread about the donut it seems this is one you want to go all the way with no matter what.

Yes. But, I'm TRYING not to be too big an ass out of it.
Still, I see parallels to certain failures going on in the WC,
which are VERY disturbing. And trying to point these out
isn't easy for me. I tend to just show the ridiculous worst
case, presuming that everyone else sees close enough to
what I do what is basically wrong. I don't even know HOW
to do otherwise.

Yep. I thought you knew a lot. I was right.

But please consider those of us who know very little about that sort of thing!

I'm thinking of starting a libertarian organization on my campus next semester. Do you have any experience with that sort of thing?

I'm trying. I'm just used to most of the people
I've tried to sway being fairly used to political
procedure.

We started a Campus Crusade for C'thulhu and a long lasting gaming club.
Never really tried anything to actually politically organize people. Organized
a protest/riot too (against fees ).

Each school is different though. All I can really suggest is to get some friends
in the student govt (that's where the money is), and look at the by-laws.  That's
something common enough that there may already be one on paper, which
often requires less effort to resurrect - and may be impossible to start a new club,
whilst that one is still around (we had this problem).

I think they have one but it's dead. Anyway, the Cthulhu one soudns good too. I have a bumper sticker on my truck that says "Cthulhu in 2004 - don't settle for the lesser evil!"

I got my degree in biology and I know I have seen them before but it's been  17 years and I haven't much use for it that and I was more of a botany person so I can't remember exactly  what they really are.

Can you get cavities in your dentures from using too much artificial sweetner?
