Damn I totally missed this one.

How does a conversation about not driving turn to one about road head anyways?

Only here.

I've never driven a vehicle with automatic transmission. I'm given to understand that being able to drive a "stick shift" is considered something akin to a superpower in North America, but that's the only thing I've ever driven. I wouldn't have a clue what to do if someone put me in an automatic.

I think I would find that incredibly unnerving.

I did start taking lessons, but  could no longer afford them. That and having seizures means I'd be an idiot to get behind the wheel, somebody could get killed.

If I had to use a car to get from one place to another, I could make it get there, but no license, the only use my privisional has now is for ID, not that I ever need it, since I look old enough to do anything age-restricted so I never get ID'ed. Otherwise its no use.

Stopped driving after getting blackouts. The first big one I had behind the wheel. Very happy I only hurt myself and the borrowed car.

Blackouts are gone, but hardly ever regret not having a car. I use my time in public transport to unwind. Found a way to even do that on very crowded buses. (Does not work if the driver is a really lousy driver, bit if it's really bad, I can get out asap and take the next bus. I've done that once.)

Been driving for 30 years now.

I used to love it, especially long road trips.

Now it's just a chore, unless it's on a new road, to a new place that I've never been to before.

Being on a motorcycle is more fun, for the first 200 miles or so, then it becomes boring. After 350 it becomes painful.

Here's an American gingerbread man cookie cutter.

 I'm just kidding, I think he's really adorable! Isn't it cute? :) I wanted to buy it for its cuteness, but they no longer sell them. :(

My wife has bought a big SUV.  I've never driven one before.  All my life I've been a polite, defensive driver, but after a couple of weeks driving this thing I find I'm barging through small gaps, making other people brake and generally being an arse on the road.

I love it.

I miss that yacht of a truck SO had. Nothing worse than giving a tiny woman a big truck after she's driven nothing but tiny cars for 20+ years.

Damn I was an asshole...and it was soooo goood.

"Bitch pleeease?...you motion for ME to back up while driving that tiny little Mini Cooper??...You better be putting that puppy into reverse before I hit 4 wheel drive....I don't think so." >:D

I want a Hummer...the huuuge model.
