Maybe they weren't the right type. Many things like shoe inserts and recoil springs are built to take a set after initial use.

They're Dr. Scholl's massaging gel inserts. Clearly they were not made for Hobbit feet. That's discrimination!   

Did you use that machine thingy they have now some places to tell you which ones to get?

No, I haven't seen any such machine, and I probably wouldn't use it anyway if everyone else's feet had been in it.

My son is a fast driver but sits , for me, uncomfortably close to the wheel like that

mostly seen females doing it...it just seems too tense.  driving around i like to be a bit comfy with my legs stretched out

The slow driving, if it was on a Sunday, it could be some Sunday Driver. That's the translation of the word we use for slow drivers on a Sunday.

  no it wasn't sunday.  they seem to just appear whenever you are running late....the worst ones are the ones that pull out of side roads and go that slow you have to brake hard! grrr
