Sounds like one element burned out. Bottom one burned out in mine earlier this year.

I was think that also.  It belongs to the electric company but I will try the element first I replaced one for my father before

Work today consisted of trying to get a thermal well thermocouple installed and involved climbing up and down stairs and scaffolds and standing in radiant sunshine on a product line 41' above the ground.  Tomorrow will be better.

The underside of the finger is very darkly bruised, yes. I will be watching it for signs of infection!

It is my first smashed nail, and it happened after the dishes were done! Tomorrow will be... interesting!

File an injury report ASAP.  Best treatment is lots and lots of your favorite ice cream taken internally with a small amount in a dish to soak the finger in.
