That happened to mine (the one that stays on all the time) about a year ago. I had to replace it.

I was hoping a good dusting would help, but it made it worse.

I used to open up mine and dust it sometimes, when I had a tower. It seemed to help it run better.

It's wise to dust the insides every now and then. The problem with mine is that it's old, near the end of its life, not that it's especially dusty inside.
