Submitted a travel claim from a few weeks ago for about $32, which included train and subway fare. Yesterday was the end of the Fiscal Year, so it needed to be approved yesterday. My dipshit supervisor finally goes to review it at 1700 and for some reason is questioning it and wants receipts. By regulation, I do not have to submit receipts for any charge under $75. The whole claim wasn't even half that. The largest charge was $10 for the Amtrak step-up ticket. All of the charges can be verified by checking the fee schedules for the commuter rail and Metro subway. I'd have to be a complete idiot to try and scam the government for $32! WTF?
I responded back to his rejection of my claim with a very sarcastic e-mail and attached a PDF of the current charges to my credit card as well as contact infomation for four people who were at the meeting and could verify my attendance. This type of shit is fucking ridiculous!!!!!
