NO. I never heard of it until I just looked it up. For now I will stick with the Rosetta Stone and Berlitz since I have a bit of money wrapped up in them. Have you used Pimsleur odeon? If so, how do you like it?

Used it for learning Spanish. It works very well for basic skills, but as with all of the language courses like it, it's advisable to read grammars and various guides to fill out the blanks. I discovered that I became pretty good at translating but less good at listening.

I like Pimsleur, though. It's well conceived and you sort of get into it after a while.

Good to know. For now I hope what I have is sufficient with study and practice. I expect French to take a while but I like how it sounds.

It is a good system, I need to do more hours a week.

How many hours does it take? I've put off learning French properly for years. But I'm saving to go to France, so I will be ashamed of myself if I cannot speak it.

We have courses here run by the French Cultural centre here. They are so expensive.

I suppose it varies with the individual. I may go to Quebec for a French practice trip prior to Paris since it is cheaper from Northern California than Paris. I believe that I will have a few hundred hours of practice by next Spring when I go. From living in Spain I know that constant exposure is better than class time. Have you been to London Eclair? I love that city.

It would probably take me time to catch up to cbc, it would just take months of posting to reach as fast as her.
