Godflesh - Mantra
half the time when you post I have to go google.
I don't know these guys! I mean I don't even know OF these guys. I don't really know anybody anymore.
I'm spinning some Beat Farmers.
I am in one very strange state, to be honest.
They're a bit like Holy Money/Greed era SWANS with really loud Tony Iommi-esque guitars, and just a little bit less claustrophobic. The vocals aren't as cheerlessly repetitive, and are also shouted for the most part. They were the more successful progeny of the English Grindcore band Napalm Death. Instead of following in the footsteps of their grindcore breatheren, they went in the opposite direction and turned the tempo down as far as possible, and cranked the drums really high in the mix, for a very savage, powerful effect.
Their 'Streetcleaner' and 'Selfless' releases are recommended. 'Slavestate' is one of the first Industrial Disco Metal releases --You'll have PM shortly.
