I think you would get right back into the groove with just a little bit of practice.
Yeah I think the same. Not too long ago I thought I either had to get a job or go and learn something. Didn't want to stay stuck on the pension doing nothing. At the time I didn't really fancy going back to forklift driving so I chose to do a course to get me into uni.

Maybe once I get my degree, I will go back to forklift driving. :P

I'll bet you are a good driver. It sounds like a cool job.  8)

Most shades of blue. :)

No... and you haven't. I see that you are on 7514. :P

With driving forklifts, we didn't really have a "keep left" rule because we mostly drove in single file. But when we drove past each other I guess it was to the left. Used to it I suppose from road rules.

I am doing ok. Experiencing uni stress again, am only in the third week and I have an assignment due next week and some homework due tomorrow. Next year I am definitely switching to going part-time, full-time does my head in.

I went to the housing place I am registered with this morning to ask what is going on as I got a letter from them months ago saying a house might be available for me soon. Well someone else got it. :( So I am still waiting. My stepdad told them (he was with me and so was my mum) that he and my mum were selling the house soon and moving into a retirement village. But they aren't really. He just said that to hopefully get them to give me priority or something. He can be quite tricky, my stepdad.

And my car needs a service. So I have been thinking about that too.

Thanks for asking. :) I am really glad to see you back here, the place isn't the same without you.

Thank you, I hope you get the house soon. I wasn't much good at uni myself, lack of discipline did me in. Hopefully a lighter course schedule will work out for you.

What kinds of forklifts do you drive? What brands?

I am hoping so too. I know about lack of discipline, mostly self-discipline. I used to procrastinate really badly and still be madly working away on an assignment on the day it was due. I am getting better at finishing them before they are due now. But it is still a lot of work. I am going to have to give a presentation on Conversation Analysis later on in the year and I am really dreading that.

I used to drive you mean? Because I don't anymore. Some good memories though. I did a forklift driving course and assessment on a 3 tonne Hyster. Then at work I drove a really old yellow 1.5 tonne Mitsubishi some of the time. Most of the time I drove either 2.5 tonne Nissans or 3 tonne Mitsubishis. I preferred the Mitsubishis as they were smoother to drive. The Nissans were faster though, and had better side-shift.

Used to drive, yes. My latest assignment at work deals with Kalmar and Moffett forklifts, see. I saw a Moffett engineer demonstrate how to drive one of their forklifts in terrain, which was amazing.

I have heard of and seen pictures of Moffett forklifts. Also, GA's dad used to drive one. They are quite different from the forklifts I have driven. I have never heard of Kalmar forklifts.
