Good point,  :plus:  It's hard to hate someone that you don't trust, mostly because they are dismissed as not being worth the energy to hate.  HAte takes energy, that could be better spent elsewhere.  Distrust takes only the energy needed to avoid or ignore. 
Thanks, Ozy.  But actually I'm not dismissing, avoiding or ignoring people.  I'm just working hard on letting go of my unrealistic expectations of them and of myself.  I couldn't stand to hate people anymore - it was going to be the end of me if I kept that up.  Now I'm able to actually like people, or at least tolerate them pretty well.

I hate one person in rl that I know. There are the ones that bullied me at school and if I saw them again, my hate for them will be reignited.

The people that hurt animals and innocent people, I have a distant hate for them. I hope they get their own done back to them 3 times over.

Agreed.  And hate does take more energy than it's worth.  Besides I have better things to do than dwell on hate.  Like you said, constant hate just drags you down.
