I would rather stay in the Windy City and it's Polar Vortex than live in Cheesehead Land or Florida itself. The only reasons I bash Florida is because of the censorship stuff, and the Marlins. All Cubs fans since 2003 haven't liked the Marlins especially me  being one of them.

I lived there in the late 70s early 80s but it has changed so much it's hardly recognizable.
Now that my mother passed away and my sister is thinking of moving out of Florida which means I will probably never go there again.

when I lived in South Bend we had snow on the ground from halloween until march.  This was in like 2003 or so.  Now I haven't been back to Indiana, but I live in Michigan now which is a little bit farther north but we don't get nearly the same amount of snow.  Probably more than the most winter snow I saw in Tennessee when I lived there, but back in the nineties even Knoxville could manage a decent winter.  That's all done with now.  You'll have days in February that are over eighty degrees.  Not up here at least, but those days are coming.  Even Michigan is scheduled to start having "wet bulb" conditions as a result of climate change some time later this century.  I couldn't imagine living in Florida even without the oppressive state government.  How will people survive down there?
