Bills, also, but I FINALLY received my fancy audio interconnects, which I ordered last October.

Delivery shortages or some crap. I was ready to give up on them, but they began to send me weekly update emails, assuring me that I was not forgotten nor was I alone.
 :wanker:

FINALLY!

The electricity and water bills. They were both twice as much as last time (the water because of the running toilet which is fixed now, and the electricity because we've had the air conditioning on nearly every day. It's been a record-breaking hot summer).

Nothing fun in the mail today. Just grown-up stuff.

Jack's been cracking down on the budget, so I don't expect much fun in the mail for a while either.  :dunno:

This was Friday: a pizza pamphlet and an envelope full of USA stamps. I don't have enough room to fit them into an album but I knew that would happen so I ordered some pages to go into my folder album. Ten of them. That should be enough.

Not a lot. There were dead bugs in the mailbox, though.

A shirt and some junk in the mail. The shirt is ill fitting, which is a shame. Will go back to the office soon and have no fashion sense. Needing new shirts, was hoping to devise a uniform of basic solid color button down shirts. The idea of clothes shopping in the stores is overwhelming, so will first try to test another shirt in the mail.

Junk mail (which went straight into the recycling bin) and Mandalorian stamps. They're set out nicely in a folder. I don't know how to display them.

I received three bags of stamps still stuck to paper (I was only meant to get one so I'm happy) and an envelope full of dog and cat stamps.

Kayleigh received a letter inviting her to make an appointment to get a pap smear. :D

Modern stamps will often peel right off if you want to. To me it would depend upon the paper they are applied to before I peel. Then, you still have to figure out what to do with the "glue" on the backs. There are various sizes of plastic mounting containers available in strips which you cut to length which help.
Acidic papers can affect the inks and damage the stamps. There are little "litmus" pens you can find that identify pH and warn of sulphur or phosphor bearing compounds which could be detrimental to the preservation of your collection. One small line (specialized color changing "ink" pen) on the back of any paper will help to identify many harmful agents which could hinder archiving some papers.
Obviously, The Smithsonian does not use them (they have better ways), but an envelope that has crossed continents, oceans, even vast amounts of time can be quickly identified as to its make up.

Older stamps used water soluble adhesives. Hence the whole "lick a stamp" thing, which has always put me off some.
Older stamps can be recovered from envelopes by soaking them for a few minutes in room temperature water, laying them on a cloth to dry, then pressing them in your stamp albums to relieve any curling. Just be sure they air dried completely before you try to store them.
You probably knew that, but now several others do as well.

Sorry, but typing one handed is still a bitch with a whip!

^ Yep, I've been putting them in a bowl of water. Then drying them. But I haven't put them in an album yet because I don't have the room. They're just in my stamp tin box.

Most of them are Australian stamps with a few European ones thrown in.

February and now the first part of March have been busier than January since I ended up closing shop during most of that month when I had covid. I've lost track of whether I've shipped to all 50 states yet, but if I'm not there, I'm probably close.

Vacuum parts and clothes are where it's at this month.

Ordered more mailing envelopes, but other than that the only thing coming in was the water bill and some sales fliers. Water bill is about the only bill other than the school tax that I can't pay online because their so-called website is a cluster f*ck.

Thinking about finally spreading out to a couple other sites.

I don't know if the mail was missed for a few days or what but there was bunch of mail. A couple of utility bills, a refund check from an overcharge, a crap ton of junk mail, and a weird handwritten letter from a Jehovah witness.  :orly:
