The kids asked for ideas for mother's day gifts. Jack is receiving a new computer/work bag, zipper pouches to organize small items within the work bag and a necklace which has a clip for an access card. Sent the oldest a message to let them know the package was received and looking forward to the weekend to open it. Was told to open it now because time isn't real, but will wait.

Jack, those are cool presents. Things you'll use. I've gotten my mum a book for Mother's Day but I feel like getting her something else. I don't have much time.

Indeed. Years ago the oldest said I'm impossible to shop for because I'm so minimal and I don't like anything. Told them to just ask, and then the youngest caught on to that and started asking too. Am really bad about not spending money on myself regarding wants and even needs which aren't urgent needs, so tend to bookmark things and wait for the opportunity for them to be gifts.

My son (with help) got me a six-pack of orange pansies. They're planted along the front walk now.

I don't think I've seen orange pansies. Purple and yellow I've seen a lot of.

Yesterday I received two shirts from America in the mail. One with "PEW PEW" written on it a bunch of times. And a shirt that has written "Star Trek" in Star Wars font. That was given to Kayleigh who thinks it's wrong but likes it all the same. I ordered the shirts 3 months ago.

Two hundred various world stamps, most of which are Czech. I have heaps of stamps to put in albums but no albums with space. So I've ordered more and am still waiting for them to arrive.

Two long-sleeved black polo shirts to wear this winter at the Salvos and a purple hoodie.

T-Mobile sent us new SIM cards for our four year old cell phones. T-Mobile has merged with Sprint, our old carrier. New SIMs will allow for better performance, they say. Only problem I ever have is when we are in a park with giant trees between us and the towers. I often get not even one full bar in the forests. Even goofing with my game is not possible. I play E&P.

I want to upgrade! Just not quite there yet.

But there are instructions on the website we are supposed to follow to do it all ourselves. I've done it to other phones many times when I was working at BB. I have lost our little "keys" though. Another casualty of our recent move. Finding a paper clip or a needle small enough is a hassle.

I would have tipped my hat to them if they had sent keys with the new SIM cards.

A stamp album and a folder. I'm waiting on pages for the folder.

Kayleigh got the Halo Encyclopaedia. It's a pretty big and heavy book. Kayleigh is obsessed with Halo (it's a bunch of games and books and now a tv series) and so likes to tell me everything about it.
