...You guys remember that I was doing a thesis on a grant and everything, and it's now completed? Well, I was and it is. (It's on intimacy as it relates to conversations in person, over AIM without emoticons, and over AIM with emoticons. It's very, very inconclusive because we didn't get a lot of subjects, only about 35 total, but there's a tiny bit of evidence that AIM is more intimate- the idea being that lack of nonverbal cues allows for greater projection and intensity of feeling.)
Anyway, as part of the requirements for botht the thesis writign and the grant, I had to apply for this undergraduate research conference, where, if accepted, I would get a travel grant from my school, fly to california this April, and present on my findings.
And I just found out I GOT ACCEPTED!!!!!!
YYESSSSS!!!!
Anyway. I'm nervous about the travel but not about presenting. How Aspie, eh?
