(and describes many of the reasons I left)

Back in the late 1960's I read The Last Days of the Late Great State of California.  Wished I remembered more than the name.

Oh yeah, it had a passage about the San Juan Capistrano swallows circling the mission on St Joseph's Day (?) and drowning themselves in the Pacific because California had sunk.

A good monarch is a treasure. A good politician is an oxymoron.

My brain is both uninhibited and uninhabited.

So all we need is another societal revolution of the scope of computers and the internet?

Watched the video, it was interesting. Essentially the people making the decisions have become completely removed from the people feeling the effects of those decisions. Which seems symptomatic of the wealth divide in lots of places, not just California.
You'll never self-actualize the subconscious canopy of stardust with that attitude.

Where did you move to?
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

How to apologise to Scrap

The fall continues.  Joe Rogan has announced he's leaving for Texas.

Several celebrities are now saying they are leaving too.

Nerdrotic has had enough and he's joining the exodus.

Bumper sticker becoming highly popular:  "Don't California my Texas"

Here in Indiana, we are surrounded, almost. If very much of Michigan, Illinois and Ohio is allowed to grow here, there will be unrest (more unrest?).
Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

I've seen the same one here in Oregon. In my case they don't have to worry, I'd like to return to the Oregon of 100 years ago.  :viking:

Since Musk said that in May over a spat about anti-covid rules that he has since backed down from, a sum total of fuck all has been done to move Tesla out of California.  In fact Tesla are building a huge battery plant in Freemont.

Do you research any of this moronic Russian propoganda before you post it?

Oh right.  It must be true then if he's said it twice.
