I will take that as a huge compliment. Lifelong fan of her work. She's one of the most famous Canadian indigenous women of our time. I'm going to see her in concert in a few weeks.

My mother played her religiously in the 70's especially. I still remember the episode of Sesame Street that she was on talking about breastfeeding and I had never seen an Indigenous woman on tv before. I was spellbound because I grew up feeling like I never quite fit in being a mixed blood.

The tune you posted isn't that bad sounding to me. There are two genres of music I hate - Country music and most Indie.

Ooh! I dislike Country Music too! ...well, most of it.  Ummm...But then there's the Be Good Tanyas . ( They're sort of, umm, halff-country. And impossible to dislike, IMO)



But i seem to like most Indie music.  I don't think Indie is a genre though, is it?
