Well I am not a citizen so I am not really in a position to offer suggestions BUT arrogance determines I will not hold my tongue.

At the moment the Progressives are the biggest threat to American culture. The Authoritative Leftists that crave more government control, love Communism, love safe spaces and trigger words, see themselves as perpetual victims and have never experiences any oppression and yet love speaking on behalf of minorities and infuse these minorities with uni-mind perspectives. 

These arseholes have wrecked the Liberal left and need to be ejected. BUT..... there is another threat too.

Yes at the moment the Leftists have been used to a lot of power, with "Progressives" (SJWs) having infested the DNC, Academia, Media and Hollywood BUT with the Conservatives rallying behind Trump, and holding the Senate, House and Government and soon the Supreme Court, THEY will be the ones in Authority. Remember when the Right were at their political peek and the gun toting bible thumping intolerant right wing held sway over the rest of America and the Liberals were the tolerant ones who were asking for reasonable dialogue? That is coming.

So I would like the loony Progressive Left and the equally as loony religious right wingers out. Hopefully the ones left will be a few degrees off centre and able to open dialogue and be reasonable with each other.

What will happen is that the Progressive agenda will be buried. In the next few years the reasonable voices on the Liberal left will come. Some will be more Progressive voices that "adapt" but most will be the Dave Rubin type voices that will come out. Inclusivity and acceptance and diversity will not be consistent with excluding whites or males or cis or whatever. Liberals will be curious and open and wanting to hear all points of view to better their own positions. The right ARE reasonable now. It will NOT last. They will become as authoritarian as any Progressive was. The pendulum will swing. The Liberals will be reasonable Classical Liberals and the Right will be the unreasonable Authoritarians not prepared to entertain a position. I will be fighting the people I defend now. Its cyclical.

I think that the base becomes unreasonable and the politicians will always cater to their base. For example people go crazy about Donald an HIS views. Donald says a lot of dumb shit. He gets carried away and goes off script and so on. This leads to his words being easily "interpreted" in terrible ways. BUT Donald's views are NOT all that Conservative. He is considered Liberal by many Conservatives.

Now Pence is completely opposite. Pence is VERY controlled and "reasonable" and reserved. The guy is very much conservative and very Christian. A social Conservative, he is no friend of gays or Atheists or anyone going against traditional values.

People talk about assassinating Trump, They would get Pence and they sure as Hell do not want him.

Power in politics is short term. People become complacent. They come to expect that this power is a right and act with arrogance and impunity. They become Authoritarian and used to bullying their way.

I do not think the Left is inherently bad. Nor is the right. Both in their moderate forums are fine. However they rarely are where the current politics reside. The pendulum normally swings between the extremes.

Anyone who wants to get near power has to usually suck corporate cock, and swallow.  The two exceptions have been Jeremy Corbyn and Donald Trump, both at different ends of the spectrum.  And look how the media and co treated them, yet they still won.  Corbyn won by a landslide twice!  Parasites like Blair call it some kind of radical "populism".  When his rent a-crowds or rent a-rebels overturn a government or try to, it's "democracy".
