  I don't have any particular sensory issues with it, but it just doesn't register in my mind in what seems
  to be the "normal" way.  My favorite sensory memories from childhood involve stuff like the warm air
  from my mother's big old-fashioned "bubble"-style hair dryer.  I loved sitting under that as a child,
  letting my hair dry under the warmth and the comforting sound of air blowing.  It was better than hugs.
  No disrespect to my parents when I say that, I just get more benefit from being alone in some sort of
  coccoon, whether it's made of blankets or warm air.  That's just my wiring.

Both my non-autistic sister and The PR have to sleep under several blankets.  PA slept without blankets, except in the winter.  I can go either way, but I have a small light quilt that I put on my feet if they are cold.  That seems to help me sleep.  But I can't stand to have my feet wrapped tightly.

Sometimes you have to go through toads to get to the frogs.  Not saying you're gonna find toads, just that dating is pretty much a crap shoot.  Accent on the crap.

True. Though personally it has got easier to find people similar to me as I've got older. It's knowing yourself more than anything, I think.

I think a guy just deleted his profile on this dating website, because I took ages to respond to him then apologised saying I was a bit taken aback. He said he was sorry but now off the market (hmm, *of course* he was) and soon deleted his profile. It happened on Reddit too, I feel a bit bad that they got so upset.

I have to take a photo of myself soon so I can upload it to Facebook so my friend's friend can see what I look like. Maybe I'll just send a link instead. Dating websites are a waste of space, there isn't anyone decent on them. There was one guy who I found addictive, but he kept talking about how he could never get over his ex and in the end I couldn't face talking to him, so I blocked him.
