I dreamed that all the Chinese left China. All one billion of them.
In the dream, someone had convinced the Chinese that some of them had already left their jobs, and that
the services they expected would no longer be available. The ensuing fear of a reduced standard of living
scared all the rest of them out. ( Like that would ever happen, they're tough people AFAIK. )
In the dream, I was pondering the prospect of one billion refugees looking for new homes all over the world.
Besides confirming that I should not eat large amounts of carbs in the wee hours ... what does it mean? 
I think it is indicative of your conscious mind and trying to work through these things abstractly.
I think it is saying that the masses seem to be moving on and away and that you are unable to understand people's lack of attachment to the consistent things in life. I think you want to move on intellectually, but emotionally you are thinking why would you give up everything that is constant and grounded and move to the unknown over trivial concerns?
For what its worth I do not think it is trivial and change can be good.
