What a sweet voice.  Sadly, she died in 1979.

Something about the song is hauntingly familiar.  I get that feeling sometimes from music, as if
I were alive/adult when it was released, as if it were part of my growing-up experience, as if I were a young
woman at a party in the 1970s listening to the song in question.  It's hard to explain.  I just feel a kinship
somehow, with the singer and with the song.  It's 1:20 a.m. and maybe I'm not making sense.

I do not speak German, but my son is taking it in school.

Honestly, though, I did not have a need to understand the lyrics to have an emotional reaction to the music. I listened twice then thought to call in my son, who is still too green to translate the whole thing. He agreed; very moving.

Thank you.

I have now found a version with someone's interpretation of the lyrics in English. While I am certain the translation is rough, the delivery of this music by this artist still impresses.

A quick further search and I am reveling in their metal sound. Not an average band at all.

Short exposure, here, but I like what I hear.

 :headbang2:
Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.
