So, how are things going?

Not guilty before proven guilty works here just as well as in that 20 year old rape thread.

Still shocked how easy one can get arrested in the USA.
Shocked at how easily people can feel threatened too.

And wondering about the "feel" in feeling threatened.

Thoughts, thoughts.

I don't think it is actually that easy to get arrested.  In 39 years I have never managed it  :zoinks:

I had to ride in the back of a police car once.  I wasn't under arrest, but I had kind of broken the law.  :zoinks:

If you were detained against your will under the control of a state actor you were seized under the meaning of the constitution, whether they attached the word "arrested" to it or not.  The constitution doesn't even use that term except to say you can't do it to a member of Congress until the session is over  :P

I actually went to public school.  Maybe if I'd gone to Catholic school I would have turned out better.  :evillaugh:

I had a ride in the back of a police paddywagon back to mental hospital where I had escaped from. Surely I wasn't under arrest because I never went to a police station.

I had a ride in an ambulance when I had my heart attack. Fun times. I was so tired and dopey from the drugs.
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

I was spotted or reported walking along the edge of the interstate while trying to get to an appointment
at a clinic.  I'd started out walking on a regular city road but it morphed into the interstate and I was
already turning back when the officer pulled over and told me to get in back.  He drove me to the clinic.  8)

I guess that would be similar to walking along the freeway here. It is not done!

Very cool that you got a ride all the way to the clinic. :)

I caught a cop's attention for a mini-tirade I did, but other than that I was never arrested (yet).

Yeah, that's basically what it was, and the officer didn't want me to get run over.
The free ride was indeed cool.  I felt like a badass being dropped off in a
police cruiser, with people noticing me.  Watch out for the Weeble!
