In Ct your employer is suppose to pay you for the first five days your regular wage after that the state gives you $50 a day. Self employed people such as myself have to apply to get the $50 a day which doesn't even amount to minimum wage or come close to the minimum amount I charge for labor for a day for even my helper

Courts also don't have a good reputation about doing things in a timely manner with all kinds of delays and postponements making scheduling for it difficult
