Stuff you would purchase if you could
« on: July 21, 2014, 09:22:50 PM »
A row boat. This one is very nice.

Can't you guys even just imagine it?

Forget practicality, or your experience....can you just....imagine?

It's there. It always was.

If I could I'd be purchasing myself a small volcanic island somewhere nice with quite a bit of land being ridiculously fertile. Lush and nice. Bring lots of good seeds of the plants I like too and be a fishing dude slash farmer. A proper seaworthy yacht to go there too, firstly.

Bit off, none realistic, I know.. but you said 'could'.. 'if you'..

Several hundred wooded acres with a lake and a nice cabin in Maine or New Hampshire.

Ah...volcanic islands tend to have very unique, sustainable ecosystems. If you did, I would suggest looking at some polynesian ship designs. They were successfully sailing the open ocean 1000's of years before europeans (according to lore).

You'll have to find a way to commute, and somewhere to live during the winter. If you neglect to maintain your home, it could sink. :shark:

Lutra, just DON'T consider St. Helena, you know, Napoleon's island?

Simple, I would just paddle downstream to a warmer climate for the winter. No sharks in rivers :)

You'd have to change jobs, unless you'd work on the boat.
