I watchd Space: 1999 when it first came out in the 70s and loved it. I watched it again in the 80s and thought it was unimaginably bad.

I watched it again in the 80s and thought it was unimaginably bad.I hadn't watched it since the early 80s. My sister and I had the giant Eagle 1 spaceship. I am actually enjoying it in 2020, but given my background as a theoretical physicist studying astronomy and the workings of the Universe, it is pretty far fetched the Moon left the Milky Way from a nuclear blast from the stored nuclear waste. They'd be going so fast, they'd never have a chance to explore these planets they keep coming up on. That being said, and suspending the disbelief, it is kinda fun. They do have a bit of trouble with the way they advance the plot too quickly with aha moments way too early and before they have enough data and information. I also wonder why the keep getting printouts from the computer. How much paper did they store onboard Moon Base Alpha?
