Watching 'Amadeus' . Forgot what a great film it is, and of course, he had Aspergers apparently. Doesn't it suck that only some are born with savant abilities, lol.
It's impossible to know. Maybe the character in the movie had AS, but who knows about the real thing?
Exactly! The whole notion of post-humus diagnosis of any malady of the neurologic system or the mind is completely absurd and I hear it all the time, by aspies. It's one thing that really turns me off.
Sure ... I want to identify myself with Mozart, (Edison, Ben Franklin, Geronimo, Confucious, Furtwangler, Tesla, MLK, Hendrix - There are so many!) also - but, I'm satisfied with telling you how much I love his music,
even though I have autism (which is only important to me). I don't have to make historical figures "just like me", in my mind, to learn from them and respect their contributions.
