I've never seen reactions this strong on a new government.
A few months could be the right answer.
Maybe they will regroup and come with something more sensible.
Had sort of hoped new policies would enhance my chances for a paid job, got told last year that that might be my only chance to get a job, when it would make things a lot worse for people who do have a job, because of their disability back-up income. The way it looks now the only thing what will happen is cutting my income down with 5%.
And, I can live with the cutting down, if need be. Creative enough, as long as rent and all doesn't go up too much. But it's the rest that scares me. Somehow there seems to be nothing creative to improve what needs to be fixed. Its just cutting back.
Guess the only positive is that the middle incomes might actually grow a bit. Stable middle group is needed for a country. It's really rich people and the single parents on welfare that they now are planning to cut 5% back. And, the rest of the cutting back in policies will keep me on welfare for as long as this government is in store, I fear. I will still fall between all the cracks.
Realise now that I did kind of have my hopes high. After years of hearing that companies do want me as an employee, but, they will not hire me, because I have no disability income as a back-up for when things go wrong, I now am sadder than I thought I would be. Don't get me wrong, I love my volunteering, I take it as serious as a paid job. But, a paid job would be better.
Will see where it will lead to.
