Was wondering how you went, with writing your whitepapers and all. You get paid for it right? So that would be an incentive.;)

Well, I get paid by my employer, so when talking at a conference, they pay for my time. They don't usually pay for me writing the papers, though. It's complicated.

None of which matters. I can procrastinate massively when writing, regardless of the pay. It's in the nature of the job. Ask any writer.

Procrastination is an art form perfected by students.

...   and some of us old farts with advanced arthritis. I only wish I could muster through half as many projects as I have in my mind, waiting for my body to respond.

Yep. I would love to get paid though.

Was having a look at my first uni essays yesterday (a form of procrastinating) and they aren't too bad. Referencing stinks but the general writing is ok. I have learnt so much about referencing since then.

DD--the difference is that the old farts have more of a reason to do it.

Yesterday - Sunday  (ignoring the fact that it is 1am and really am talking about the day before yesterday)

It was Mother's Day.  Had lunch at The Hungry Horse with my Mum and two brothers.  Afternoon spent with the urchin doing some robin hooding.  The urchin was then swiftly bathed and in bed early ready for school.   Naughty few hours with Mr Lurch.

Oh and much  :tigger:
blah blah blah

I worked, fed the family, drove daughter home from figure skating training, and watched several Top Gear episodes.

Reason or not. It almost kills me to not be ABLE to get to my projects!

Operated a chainsaw. ;D

Bought a hard drive and opened up the laptop so I could replace the old disk only to realise that the bloody thing needed torx bits in sizes I couldn't find in my toolbox.  >:(

Finally replaced my laptop's HD. Spent the evening restoring and reinstalling stuff. It seems I've lost MS Office in the process but it was always a crappy piece of software anyway so I think I won't bother trying to locate the install media and license.

Got through a tripple autistic fuck up afternoon, due to a chain of changes.
At least it helps a bit that the three of us were aware that that was what was causing the fuck-up.  :P

Painted some walls.

Worried a bit.

Cuddled a bit.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

Yesterday was the first day in about seven months that the ground was NOT frozen below a foot deep!

I actually turned over about a third of my garden yesterday.

IN two days I will have the entire day off from work. It is supposed to be well above freezing. I plan to finish cultivating certain areas in preparation for spring planting and dig some manure into certain other parts that I had neglected during the fall.

If I have an ounce of forfeiture to use, I will be exhausted tomorrow evening, but my garden will be that much more ready for planting.
