Well, it's odd because my eyes don't look uneven without the picture. Maybe I got a lazy eye or something.

And I detest the shadow underneath my eyeballs.

The shadow under your eyes could be a hydration/electrolyte issue, or just fatigue if you have chronic sleep problems.  Do you feel like your eyelids are sticky sometimes?

Dark gaia- you could ask if they could put you on trazodone to be taken at night as needed.  It's an antidepressant but is also used for sleep; I think that it may be better for long-term use than some sleep aids because you dont get that tolerance.  My mom's using it for sleep; she says it gives her night sweats and vivid dreams but has no other complaints.
