An alpha male is someone who has total self confidence, and thus people, at least NTs, are instinctively looking up to him, both men and women. That way he gets most women he wants. It's primitive and disgusting and always reminds me of lynch mobs and the worst and lowest human instincts.

i would agree with most of this, but with a few additions.

i also think that several men are pseudo alpha males.  an act.  but annoying to the degree that they are great actors, and try too hard to dominate without real leadership abilities.
might makes right, aggressive, bullying types.

My brother had such a jerk in his class in elementary. He lived very near us and always came and bragged about how much he fucked, how much he drank, how much fights he was into etc. He always sneaked beer and whisky from me, since I'm five years older and he couldn't buy what he wanted in the liquor stores. He was so stupid that he couldn't make the theory test for his driving license until he was 24 (the age limit is 18 in Sweden). The most annoying thing, however, was that this pathetic jerk actually got a lot of beautiful girls to fuck, among others the girl who won the county beauty contest...

My theory is that women, if not just looking for cock, want:

1) a man to worship, i.e., a handsome, confident and rich man.

2) if they cannot get 1), they're looking for a pathetic low life loser, that they can have worshipping them.

So they either want a man as a trophy or a servant. That's why "ordinary", nice guys usually have a relatively hard time getting women. They don't fit in either cathegory.
