It's what's NOT happening after 2 weeks of road renovation at a nearby Condo site........NO Construction noise!  Just the normal traffic sounds and multiple dogs barking for no reason!   ::)

Ah, yes. We have a road nearby that fell into literal disrepair four years ago and was closed off. The powers that be have been slow to say the least. There's been occasional activity to measure the damage - basically, part of the supporting structure of that road collapsed into the river next to it - but no real action. They blame the unique wildlife, the seasons, anything, while walkers and cyclists continue to use the stretch.

Thinking I have mentioned this before, but FFS, the Empire State Building was erected in just over a year. This is not difficult. It's not rocket science.

We have a nearby highway that they have been working on for the last 12 years with no end in sight.  I won't bore you with the details.  But, NH is well known for this, minimal funding for education and social needs, but, they will spend millions for highways to get more tourists in.  And to top it off, next to every highway entrance and exit they will build a huge liquor store/rest stop!  While removing every rest stop in between, you gotta pee or stretch your legs, tough shit!   >:(

It's shit, basically.

And that is the truth.  One stretch of road that we traveled on long ago was 151 miles of straight highway without a single rest stop available.  Just parking areas near woods that we had to pray there was not a lot of people there or even better NOBODY there.  People were using the woods adjacent for their "business".  And some of the stuff I saw in those wooded areas implied that there was a lot of "other" business going on.   :hide:  And the towns near the highway, didn't have many services for travelers.   :GA:

There was a high school football game last night. They must have won. Heard the cars going up the road and the kids yelling. Stadium is two streets over.

Kayleigh came into my room last night looking for Kira. She asked me what the flashing light was on my wall. I replied that it was the neighbours across the road with their Christmas lights on. She said she wouldn't be able to sleep with that going on. But I have no trouble, I can't see the flashing with my eyes closed. And when I'm facing the other way I can't see it at all.
