63F/17C at 7:30AM. Not a cloud in the bright blue sky.
My birds are super active. I've seen four huge blue herons and way more smaller brown ones browsing the ponds nearby. Starlings, sparrows, cardinals, orioles, hummingbirds everywhere.

When I woke up at about 4AM, I could hear an incredible chorus of frogs and toads from the ponds. I donned a hoody and went out with my coffee and pipe and just enjoyed the concert.
I love our new home!!

Starting about 1AM, we had just gotten home from a lot of fun, there were heavy winds, loads of lighning and thunder, but not much rain. Only got a few small blasts of sideways rain.

Deep overcast right now with rain in the forcast for the entire day.

Too hot... highest Dad noticed was 97 degrees Fahrenheit today... back in the mountains of Abbottabad where my family was, it got up to at least 110 degrees + the humidity of the rainy season.

17.5°C and the sun is out at 1:50pm. There's supposed to be another cold front passing through tomorrow.

It should be ok though, because our side fence has already been knocked down by the wind last week. ;)

68F/20C and breezy at sundown. It rained a lot today, but all clear now. Feels great! Everything is fresh.

It won't last, though. We have another month of summer weather to get past before the nice fall weather approaches.

More like early June than mid August. That nice cool front had a bit more chill than predicted. 54F/12C this morning, still only 61F at 9AM.
Coffee and hoody on the back patio to start the day.

It's definitely August here. People are so hot and bothered, a couple of women were yelling at each other in the parking lot of the grocery store.  :lol1:
