I'm surprised Australia can get cold weather down there. I thought it be hot all year around even though I knew they get snow in the mountains there. Perhaps that’s where éclair is.

I'm in Western Australia and it doesn't snow here. I have never seen snow in rl before.

It was hot here in the 80's and I did sweat and got a little sunburned but the cool breeze kept me cool and the rides I went on.

The people are hot, but the weather's sometimes not! 

It was 12 degrees when I posted this morning...not sure how that translates in F...but it was cold.  And no, I'm not in the mountains...I'm a city girl at the moment.

Sometimes   But, our hot spells rarely last more than 4 days.  Fortunately.

Old Maine saying:  "We have 10 months of winter and two months of not very good sledding."

I live in Florida as a kid it was always 90% plus humidty all the time.

August it can get 100+ with 100% humidity.   I am used to it.   Cancun, Mexico is much hotter on average than most of FL.   Miami and the keys can be quite hot, well there is seabreeze just like at any beach.   I was out at Jax beach last night and it wasn't bad at all.   I don't like the desert that much because it is dry and usually very little breeze to compensate for the heat (Vegas was fun and the Grand Canyon is cool, Hoover dam isn't bad either).   Jacksonville also gets rain quite a bit during the hottest days of the year, which cools things down but is an overall pain in the ass.   Plenty of flooding, especially when we have any close calls with hurricanes.   I really hate cold weather more, I prefer something more in the middle probably.

The heat and humidity are being pushed out by a cool front.  What sucks is that none of the thunderstorms predicted materialized.  I wanted a good thunderstorm and a decent watering of the gardens.  We haven't had a good thunderstorm yet.
