Today was a lot warmer than we expected. 25C or so and very humid. No rain - well, just a tiny bit early on, but who's counting after this summer? - and it felt like what we never got to see in July.

It just hit the 93F/34C mark on my trusty weather station, hanging in the shade.
It's just now 2PM with at least four more hours of blasting sun to go. Very high pressure and humidity, so no pop-up storms to cool us off a little today, anywhere near here.

83F/28C at 9:30AM and that is with heavy overcast skies.
It could rain today, but forecast calls for rain about dusk, but not for the morning.
Pressure is high, humidity near 100% but the dewpoint is 74F, so it is unlikely that we get any cooling rain until late tonight when our static temperatures approach the dewpoint more closely. A little drop in the barometric pressure would help a lot!

We've had a nice cool front roll through from the north. Windy. It's the heat of the day and it has just hit 76F/25C with the sun blazing down.

It was quite overcast this morning until close to noon, but still cool.
I used the chainsaw on some of the wood we have gathered lately, but I wore a hoody, because it was still chili.

It won't last though. We have at least three weeks before fall and then a late Indian Summer to face just before killing freeze sets in for six months.
