That's great news Parts!

As a person who grew up on the Gulf coast of south Texas, we went through many storms growing up.
So many people poopoo huricanes as a kind of weak sister to the mighty tornado.
Those folks have not watched as a fifteen foot storm surge comes on land or felt what twelve to twenty four hours of high winds can do. Let alone two or three feet of rain in a day or two.
Hurricanes are no joke!

Jacket weather this morning, 33F/1C, lots of fog. Frost on the windows this morning. Not enought to have to scrape; washer fluid took care of it after a few attempts.

18.2°C and partly cloudy at 1:35pm. It rained during last night but we didn't get much - 3.4mm.

This is the last of the rain until next Monday.

Got a little rain this morning early. Heard very far off thunder, but not close.
Other than very early, it is a beautiful day, cool, sunny, high pressure, decorative clouds passing lazily by, not at all in a hurry to be elsewhere.

Should reach 70F this afternoon.

Frost on everything this morning.
I did not put out any annuals to worry about cleaning up this year, but have a nice landscape of perennials which are fading for the season. Came with the new home. Also some shrubs to reshape.

Time to begin cutting them back and "editing" any runners or pups that are misplaced or encroaching upon others.

I made a new weeding tool a few days ago. I took a roofing stripper that was available at "big box", put a cutting blade in my angle grinder and cut a sharp "V" in the end. Sharpened up the inside of the "V" and brought the outer area into a pointed two prong fork, sharp on all sides. Heated and bent the shaft some so I could get some leverage.

Now I have a sharp tool I stab into the ground below the crown of a weed and pry it out while I am standing. And no moving parts to interfere like so many modern handy stand up weeders they sell.
Just a V-knife with a five foot handle.

16.2°C and partly cloudy at 11am. The minimum was 7°C this morning, it did feel cold when I got up to let the cats out. No rain in sight and all maximums of around 20°C for the next week.
